NEW SELF-PACED PROGRAM! -

Available Feb. 1, 2025! Sign up for emails to be automatically alerted when The Sexuality Professional opens to the public.

This self-led, self-paced program is designed to help you jump-start your business, launch that new course, or get closer to accomplishing your professional goals – especially the ones that have felt overwhelming or out of reach. Start with a goal or intention and by the end, you will have the tools, strategy, and support you need to create, build, plan, outline, or launch that project or idea that has felt intimidating, overwhelming, or out of reach for so long.

Created by AASECT-certified sexuality educator and entrepreneur Anne Hodder-Shipp, the Sexuality Professional Accelerator welcomes motivated, progressive sexuality professionals who are ready to level-up with weekly prompts, exercises and activities, optional peer support, one-on-one business coaching, and vulnerable realness that can be done on your own time, at your own pace, and completely on your terms. You don’t have to figure all this out on your own — nor should you — so let’s start working, growing, and succeeding together.

What you get with The Sex Ed Accelerator:

  • 24 folders with prompts, exercises, & activities to keep you focused, accountable, and on track ($1,200 value)

The Sexuality Professional Accelerator is a great fit if you:

  • Recently completed a certification or degree & are ready to start your new career

  • Have been sitting on a workshop, course, or offering idea for far too long

  • Burn out easily and need help reigniting your professional passion

  • Feel frozen from imposter syndrome and need solutions for getting unstuck

  • Would rather get a root canal than promote or pitch yourself

  • Feel a bit isolated or on your own in this field and in need of supportive, like-minded community

  • Recognize you need help with accessibility, inclusivity, and expansiveness in your work

  • Hate everything about accounting, taxes, paperwork, invoices, & “numbers stuff”

  • Consider yourself more of a sensitive soul than a business savvy “boss”

  • Want to build or run a business that feels aligned with your social justice values

  • Need help figuring out rates, pricing, and getting over your “money issues”

  • Have a hard time saying “no” and might even identify as a “people pleaser”

  • Feel ready to put yourself out there and stop hiding or staying “small”

  • Have lots of ideas but need guidance, direction, and help with follow-through

Cost:

  • Standard Rate: $399

This is the cost and value of the Accelerator. Select this if the cost will not prevent you from meeting your housing, food, transportation, childcare, and other basic needs, even though it might mean you have to temporarily cut back on some non-essential spending. If you are an employee of a company that is funding or supporting your purchase, you must pay the Standard Rate.

  • Equity Rate: $199

Select this if paying the Standard Rate would mean your basic monthly needs, like housing, food, transportation, or childcare, would not be met or that your financial stability would be put at risk. There is a limited number available. If you choose this option but can genuinely afford the Standard Rate, you are taking this option away from someone who genuinely needs it. This rate is NOT available to employees of companies that are funding or supporting their purchase.

  • Pay-it-Forward: $599

Pay it forward and help make the Equity Rate possible. Pay this rate if you consider yourself financially “comfortable” with expendable income, and doing so will not have a measurable impact on your finances month to month. If you are an employee of a company that is funding or supporting your purchase, you are highly encouraged to pay the Pay-it-Forward Rate.

Testimonials:

I enrolled in the Accelerator to focus on my goals as an educator. It gave me space to bounce ideas off my peers and talk through some of my insecurities. I think the Accelerator is great for anyone wanting to run their sexuality business more ethically. It’s a great way to check in with yourself, reflect, and get guidance.
I really loved being a part of The Accelerator! It was incredible to be able to learn from Anne, who has so much experience and insight into the sexuality field. I also loved getting to meet the other participants and learned so much from each of them. Hearing about everyone’s experiences made me feel less alone in the challenges of operating a business in the sexuality field.
Six months felt like a big commitment up front because there’s a lot that can come up schedule-wise in the span of six months. And it did. But Anne made it very easy to catch up. All the content is sorted and organized so you know exactly where you left off.
The coaching sessions that Anne offered as a part of the program were also incredibly useful — they helped me get clear on what I wanted to do with my business and work through some of what has been holding me back.

I launched my first business by accident in 2009. I had never dreamed of being an entrepreneur, and the idea of starting a small business at the age of 25 sounded more overwhelming and intimidating than exciting. But as I stumbled my way through, I soon realized that it was the best decision I had ever made. A happy accident, even.

However, I was doing it all on my own. I did not have a mentor (nor a business degree) and I had to figure things out by myself, which means I made a ton of mistakes that cost me time, money, and extra stress. On the outside, I was thriving with a business that continued to grow exponentially year after year – but on the inside, I was anxious, unsettled, and even a little lonely.

With the Sexuality Professional Accelerator, I want to support budding and seasoned sexuality professionals with the compassionate business support that I didn’t know I needed and, for all I know, didn’t exist when I was first starting out. This program features an unconventional combination of business coaching and development strategy plus empathetic mentorship that reminds you of your inherent worth and humanity. It might not be easy getting a small business moving and booming, but with the Sexuality Professional Accelerator, you’ll never be on your own.

Frequently Asked Questions

Who “counts” as a sexuality professional?
Literally anyone who works in a field or role that discusses or is related to sex, sexuality, or sexual health. That includes sex therapists, content creators, sex educators, sex coaches, pelvic physical therapists, writers, researchers, sex workers, podcasters, activists, and more. All are welcome in The Sexuality Professional Accelerator.

When will The Sexuality Professional Accelerator start?
Whenever you want it to! The new Sexuality Professional Accelerator is completely self-paced without any required Zoom meetings or deadlines, which means you call all the shots. If you choose to add group coaching to your experience, those sessions start Feb. 19, 2025, at 4:15 p.m. PT.

The format looks different from last year. What changed?
In 2025, we shifted from a live weekly format to a self-paced format with group coaching and one-on-one coaching as optional add-ons. That change has been for two reasons:

1. Attendance at the live weekly meetings was inconsistent and many people felt tired of Zoom!

2. Those who attended the weekly meetings consistently shared that they felt disappointed by the inconsistent attendance, because they were counting on building community with everyone in the cohort.

3. The live weekly format had a higher cost because of the time and labor it required of our host. The self-paced format with optional add-ons makes The Sexuality Professional Accelerator more financially accessible, which means far more people will be able to benefit!

What do I get after I sign up?
When you sign up, your email confirmation will include a download link that expires in 24 hours. Please click this link ASAP. This will download a PDF that links to The Sexuality Professional Accelerator’s Google folder, which is filled with the materials you’ll need to complete it. You’ll always have access to this folder, but we recommend that you download the folder to your computer so you “own” it.

Can I complete The Sexuality Professional Accelerator if I’m a “newb” to the sexuality world or running a business?
You do not have to have an established business or reputation in the field, and you can certainly benefit from The Sexuality Professional Accelerator if you are just starting out. The self-paced format allows you to easily skip sections that don’t feel relevant or feel too advanced and focus instead on sections that are exactly where you’re at. Your access never expires, so you can always come back to sections you skipped whenever you’re ready. If you’re still not sure if this is the right fit for you, please review the weekly topic schedule on this page.

Can I benefit from The Sexuality Professional Accelerator if I’ve been in business or working in the field for a while?
Of course! Running a business, especially a sexuality business, is never straightforward and almost always requires some form of pivoting, experimenting, starting something new, starting over, getting creative, and being prepared to evolve and change. And we all have our strengths and weaknesses. The Sexuality Professional Accelerator has solutions, advice, information, and guidance for everyone.

Will I benefit from The Sexuality Professional Accelerator if I don’t add private or group coaching?
Of course! Every week has a dedicated topic with slides, prompts, and activities for you to complete at your own pace. Each week also includes a series of personal check-in questions that help you explore some of the mental and emotional blocks and challenges you might be experiencing. You don’t have to talk about your progress or feelings if you don’t find it helpful!

I’m collecting CEs for AASECT certification or EDSE certification renewal. Does The Sexuality Professional Accelerator qualify for any CEs?
The Sexuality Professional Accelerator itself does not qualify for CEs, but each private or group session qualifies for one AASECT CE and one EDSE CE.

What happens if I add group or private coaching?
When you sign up for The Sexuality Professional Accelerator with add-ons, you’ll receive an email confirmation with a download link that will link you to The Sexuality Professional Accelerator’s Google folder, like everyone else. You will then receive a separate email with either a link to schedule your one-on-one coaching or a Zoom link to attend monthly coaching.

When and where will the private coaching take place? Can it be in-person?
Private coaching takes place online via Zoom. We do not offer in-person coaching for The Sexuality Professional Accelerator.

When and where will the group calls take place?
Group calls take place via Zoom on the third Wednesday of every month from 4:15-5:15 p.m. Pacific Time (60 mins). You’ll be emailed the Zoom link after you sign up.

How many attendees are in each group coaching call?
This will vary because of open enrollment, but we keep capacity low. We find that small group learning allows for a more connected, intimate, and engaged experience. It’s totally possible that only one or two people may show up sometimes, though, which means it’ll end up feeling more like private coaching!

Can I attend from outside the U.S.?
Absolutely! If you are outside the U.S. and interested in participating with group or private coaching, we’d love to have you. Before signing up, we recommend that you look at the time difference and what it would require from you to join the calls in your time zone (if you plan to attend them). This will allow you to decide whether the add-ons are a good fit. We do not make special accommodations for international attendees and we do not record our group coaching calls. (More on that below.)

What is the format of the group calls?
The group calls take place via a video conferencing program called Zoom. You do not need a Zoom account to attend and there is no log-in process to join the Zoom “room.” After signing up, your confirmation email will include a Zoom link to join each group call. Please save this confirmation email! Once you click the Zoom link, you will be put in a waiting room until the Zoom “room” opens for everyone at the start time.

You will be able to attend via smartphone, tablet, laptop, or desktop computer anywhere with an internet connection. If you plan to attend in a public place, you must wear headphones so that attendees’ shares can not be overheard.

What if I can’t find the Zoom link?
Email hello@everyonedeservessexed.com and we will send it to you. If you email us when the call has already started, please understand that we will be hosting the call and less able to respond quickly. To avoid delay, we recommend ensuring you have the link before each group call starts.

Do I have to have my camera on during the calls?
Nope! You don’t have to have your camera on for the whole call, but we do request that you have it on for the first 5 minutes so Anne can confirm who is in the space.

What if I can’t attend one of the calls?
This is a self-led program, so you’re in charge of how you participate and show up. If you add group coaching to your experience, it is up to you which months you attend. Just keep in mind that group coaching takes place once a month and the final call of the year will take place on Dec. 17, 2025. There are no make-up calls.

If you anticipate punctuality may be a concern, please reach out to us at hello@everyonedeservessexed.com so Anne can be prepared for your later arrival.

Will you record any of the calls for me?
Group coaching calls will not be recorded due to the vulnerable and intimate nature of the discussions. We understand that this is not convenient, but it is the most effective way to ensure the confidentiality of attendees’ identities, personal information and shares, and general vulnerability.

How do I schedule the private session with Anne that’s included?
Following signup, attendees will be provided a link that will enable them to schedule a 60-private session with Anne at no additional cost.

What are your accessibility accommodations?
Each group call has live AI captioning enabled, as well as a live transcript that will record the entirety of the discussion in real time. Any program materials created by EDSE will feature image descriptions and/or alt text where applicable.

Cost accessibility is provided in the form of a tiered pricing structure with the option to pay it forward if you’d like to contribute toward others’ attendance.

Should you require a different or additional accessibility need, please email us at hello@everyonedeservessexed.com immediately following signup so that we can confirm whether we can accommodate. In the event that we can not, you will receive a full refund.

What/who does my payment go to?
50% of your payment goes to EDSE’s administration, hosting, and operations costs and 50% goes to Anne Hodder-Shipp to compensate them for creating and managing the program, as well as leading the one private coaching session that comes with each signup. If you add group or private coaching, 15% will go to EDSE and 85% will go to Anne to compensate them for leading the sessions.

How do I pay? What payment options do you offer?
Payment is accepted via credit or debit card using Stripe. EDSE does not accept Paypal due to its hostile policies and treatment toward sexuality businesses and professionals.

If you do not have access to a credit or debit card, please email us at hello@everyonedeservessexed.com to discuss whether an alternative payment option is available and acceptable.

Do you offer payment plans or a scholarship?
We do not offer a formal payment plan for the self-paced Sexuality Professional Accelerator. If you would like to set up a payment plan, please email us at hello@everyonedeservessexed.com to discuss options.

In lieu of scholarships, we have chosen to offer a heavily discounted need-based Accessibility price tier.

Are there any hidden or additional costs associated?
There are no upsells or hidden add-on sales that are a part of this program. You may learn about software or technology that could benefit your business or help you accomplish your goals, but EDSE does not sell anything like this nor do we profit from recommendations, referrals, or affiliate programs in any way. If we recommend a program, resource, or practitioner, it’s because we believe in it or believe it could be useful, not because we are incentivized financially.

What is your cancelation and refund policy?
Once you sign up for The Sexuality Professional Accelerator, including any add-ons you choose, there are no refunds. Our extensive FAQ list and transparent description of the program is meant to ensure you know exactly what you are paying for.

Is there anyone who isn’t a good fit for The Sexuality Professional Accelerator?
We do not recommend that you sign up for this program if:

  • Justice-oriented topics like accessibility, white supremacy, classism, patriarchy, feminism, misogyny, transphobia, fatphobia, and more make you feel too uncomfortable or angry to participate or focus.

  • Are looking for a business/mentorship program that “guarantees” you will make money fast.

  • You “stay out of politics” and believe sexuality is not a political topic.

  • You do not support sex workers or believe sex work is work.

  • You consider yourself to be “gender critical” or believe that identity-specific words like “cisgender” are offensive.

  • You don’t believe that privilege — especially white privilege — exists.

We do not recommend that you sign up for group or private coaching if:

  • You don’t have the patience or ability to hold space for others who may not know as much about sex, business, justice, or language as you do.

  • You aren’t willing to do your own research into topics, technology, or terminology that we don’t have time to get into during the group calls.

  • Feel intimidated or uncomfortable by transparency, vulnerability, and your or other people’s feelings.

  • Are looking to have “healthy debates” about sexuality topics.

What if I still have questions?
Email us anytime at hello@everyonedeservessexed.com. We will respond within 72 business hours.

What if I have a complaint or grievance?
Grievances and complaints must be submitted by email to hello@everyonedeservessexed.com. EDSE's Administrative Support team will respond to the participant within 72 hours. All grievances and related communication must be sent to hello@everyonedeservessexed.com; anything sent directly to the Program Administrator via email, social media, private messages, or other public commentary will not be responded to.
